About
Helena Fontaine is a French self-taught tailor, costume designer, and hat maker whose work is rooted in textile reuse, craftsmanship, and material history. Inspired by her experience with the textile platform 12-NA in Valparaíso, Chile, she developed a practice centered on transforming reclaimed fabrics into unique garments and accessories.
She move in Berlin in 2016, where she refined her skills through four years with the Berlin hat-making studio Captn Crop. Since launching her independent label in 2025, Helena has focused on one-of-a-kind pieces that blend surrealism, storytelling, and sustainable craftsmanship.
Alongside her work in textiles, she is also active as a musician, curator, DJ and radio host, drawing inspiration from Creole and Transatlantic music.
